Social Media Outreach & Marketing Executive

Job description

Due to continued expansion at Storm, we are looking to hire a Social Media Outreach and Marketing Executive.

You’ll be responsible for managing the social media account of Storm Creative, growing our reach and influence in line with our marketing objectives. 

You’ll take a proactive approach to deliver connections and maximise our visibility across digital platforms. A professional attitude is also required, as you’ll be engaging with content on behalf of the business and managing our online presence across a range of social media channels.  

Strategic direction will be provided, but ultimately you’ll have a high level of autonomy to execute the agreed social objectives, nurture followers and increase brand awareness.

To deliver effective results, you’ll need empathy, intelligence and social savviness. The ideal candidate will be a truly lateral thinker with a keen eye to capitalise on relevant trends and topical events to create innovative social content. Prior experience with content development would be a strong advantage, however you’ll liaise with our content and design team to deliver all the assets you’ll need.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Researching and building lists of key prospects to connect with
  • Daily engagement with relevant posts and connections
  • Posting content across multiple channels according to agreed schedules
  • Suggesting ideas for content, requesting copy, design, video assets and more from the department head
  • Tracking and reporting on the success of your online activity
  • Ongoing monitoring of the accounts you manage and key competitors. 

Key Attributes:

  • High levels of empathy with a personable nature

  • A keen instinct of how to ‘sell’ authentically online

  • Active interest in business, marketing and social media. Prior experience would be a distinct advantage

  • Strong commercial awareness

  • Strong English Language skills (you must be able to demonstrate this)

  • Highly organised self-starter with excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • A background in sales would be beneficial, to deliver the confidence and volume of engagement required

  • Strong excel skills are essential.
